Project Engineering Manager - Power Generation Immediate Need For A Project Engineering Manager. This Is A Permanent Position For Its Plant Located In The North San Diego Area. Company Offers Excellent Benefits Package And Compensation Package Including Relocation Assistance. Anticipated Compensation For This Position Is $75 To 125k Per Year Base Salary With Up To 22.5% Performance Bonus. Purpose: Responsible For All Project Engineering Functions, Environmental Compliance, Major Maintenance, Capital Project Oversight And/or Management, Plant Drawings, Environmental Permit Reporting, Hazardous Material Response, Plant Upgrades, System Changes And Providing Technical Support To Plant Facilities To Enable Safe Power Generation At The Lowest Cost And In Compliance With Environmental Regulations.. Responsibilities: Responsible For All Plant Engineering Functions Including Plant System Changes, Drawings And System Specifications. Oversees All Environmental Permit Compliance, Reporting And Tracking. Leads An Engineering Team To Proactively Identify And Analyze Operating Problems And Provide Corrective Measures. Develop And Implement Plant Test Plans And Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Programs. Prepare Monthly Performance Reports For The Facility Outlining Generation & Maintenance Activities, Efficiency & Availability Performance, Project Status And Existing Operating Problems. Maintains And Updates All Plant Drawings In Accordance With Engineering Standards. Monitors All Operations To Ensure Environmental Permit Compliance. Coordinates Justification And Approval Of Major Maintenance And Capital Projects From The Plant Level. Oversees Implementations Of Approved Capital Projects On A Corporate Level. Works In Concert With The Management Team To Identify, Analyze And Justify Equipment Modifications And Capital Expenditures To Reduce Cost, Improve Production, Improve Efficiency And Improve System And Equipment Reliability And Availability. Participates In Community Activities So As To Maintain Good Facilities And Community Relations. Works In Concert With The Management Team To Assure Excellence In Customer Service. Performs Other Related Duties As Required Or Assigned. Complies With The Facility Environmental, Health And Safety Program. Actively Participates And Supports The Facility Systems Sponsorship Program. Adheres To Company Policies And Promotes Company Mission Statement. Demonstrates Professionalism In All Activities And Encourage Personnel Within The Department To Do The Same. Available For Travel As Needed. Estimate 10-20% Travel For Training, Seminars, And Other Project Support. Qualifications: Bachelor?s Degree In Engineering Or Science. Minimum Of 8 Years Experience, Including 4 Years In Power Industry Or Equivalent. Power Boiler And Generation System Experience Required. Must Have A Valid Driver?s License And Clean Driving Record.
