Plant Engineer - Industrial Food Mfg. Plant Engineer needed for an industrial foods manufacturing company in the East Bay area 35 miles SE of San Francisco. JOB SUMMARY: This position recommends, justifies and cost effectively executes capital and expense projects supporting company’s objectives reducing costs and supporting new product commercialization. Provides a high degree of technical support to the Operations Department ensuring operations meets product quality, schedule, and cost requirements. Supports food safety, personnel safety, and environmental programs. Accountabilities: •Conceives, justify, implements, and effectively manage equipment and facility projects. •Provide the means to produce new products and support changes to improve quality and reduce costs. •Manages the capital plan ensuring funds well aligned with the companies needs and are effectively utilized. •Conceive, design, and document mechanical parts, mechanisms, and machines. •Support and enhance electrical control systems through electrical design and programming. •Analyze and solve technical issues that are beyond the capability of other departments. •Provide technical support to Maintenance, Production, and R&D to facilitate there functions. Responsibilities: •Timely provide effective and robust equipment, systems and facilities to support new products and cost savings opportunities •Resolve persistent issues that significantly degrade production performance. •Provide manufacturing capabilities that are not commercially available to effective manufacture our unique products and raises a barrier to entry for competitors. •Foster effective relationships with all operation departments and perform your job function meeting there needs. QUALIFICATIONS: (education and work experience) •BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required. •Minimum five years industrial food related experience •Previous experience as a Plant Engineer $70K-$90K Excellent benefit package available.
